What a fletcher actually does is attach the fletching to arrows.
The fletching is the aerodynamic stabilisation device attached to an arrow – typically made from feathers, or occasionally bark.
Each piece of the fletching is known as a fletch.
The words 'fletch' and 'fletching' are related to the French word for an arrow, which is fleche.
